Nigerian Journal of Medicine ( NJM) , is the official publication of Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors ( NARD), established in 1990. It is an international peer-reviewed print and online bi-monthly journal. NJM publish scientific reports on human subjects in the form of original articles, review articles, case reports and letters. The journal covers technical and clinical studies related to medicine, dentistry and allied sciences. Articles with clinical interest and implications are only considered for publication.The journal aims to promote scientific research and clinical practice improvements in Nigeria and other developing countries. It provides a platform for medical doctors, researchers, and healthcare professionals to disseminate findings related to internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, community medicine, pathology, public health, and other clinical specialties. Established in 1990, NJM has contributed significantly to medical scholarship in Africa and is widely recognized in academic and clinical research communities. It follows a strict peer-review process and adheres to international publication ethics standards. The journal is published quarterly and is available in both print and online formats. The Nigerian Journal of Medicine is indexed in several academic databases including AJOL and previously MEDLINE/PubMed coverage for selected years. It plays an important role in supporting evidence-based medicine and improving healthcare delivery systems in Nigeria and beyond.
