Nigerian Journal of Clinical Practice (NJCP)

The Nigerian Journal of Clinical Practice is the official publication of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) established in 1997 and published regularly twice yearly in June and December. Its purpose is to promote clinical and academic excellence in Medicine and Dentistry and allied sciences.The journal aims to promote clinical excellence and improve healthcare delivery, particularly in Nigeria and other developing regions. A major focus is on diseases and health conditions relevant to African populations, including infectious diseases, maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, and healthcare system challenges. Research published in the journal often emphasizes evidence-based clinical practice, diagnostic methods, treatment outcomes, and public health interventions. It also encourages studies that improve medical education, residency training, and hospital-based clinical protocols. As an internationally indexed journal, NJCP supports knowledge sharing between Nigerian clinicians and the global medical community.
