Neurosurgery Quarterly (NQ)
Journal Descriptions
Neurosurgery Quarterly is a peer‑reviewed academic journal focused on advancing knowledge in neurosurgery, clinical neurology and surgical practice. Established in 1991, it has served as a platform for original research, clinical studies, case reports, reviews, and analysis of surgical techniques, diagnosis, treatment strategies, and outcomes in neurological disorders requiring surgical intervention. The journal’s scope encompasses cranial and spinal surgery, cerebrovascular disease, trauma, tumor management, degenerative disorders, and functional neurosurgery, synthesizing international developments to provide depth beyond general medical literature. As the title suggests, it was traditionally published on a quarterly basis with four issues per year, offering comprehensive and accessible content for neurosurgeons, clinicians, residents, and researchers interested in both clinical practice and academic inquiry in neurosurgical sciences. The publication includes contributions from worldwide authors and aims to stimulate discussion on evolving practices, share evidence‑based insights, and stimulate innovation in neurosurgical care. Although print publication ceased around 2016, its archived articles continue to be referenced in neurosurgical scholarship. The journal has been indexed in major databases and classified within clinical neurology and surgery disciplines.
