Nature Clinical Practice Urology (NCPU)

Nature Clinical Practice Urology was a peer-reviewed clinical journal designed to provide practicing urologists with concise, high-quality summaries of current research, clinical guidance, and expert commentary. It focused on translating complex urological research into practical, evidence-based information that could directly support clinical decision-making. The journal emphasized topics such as prostate diseases, bladder disorders, kidney conditions, urologic oncology, surgical techniques, and diagnostic innovations. Unlike traditional research journals, it specialized in clinical practice–oriented content, including “Practice Points,” case-based learning articles, expert reviews, and educational commentaries. Its goal was to reduce information overload for clinicians by filtering and interpreting high-impact studies in a structured, readable format. The journal also contributed to continuing medical education (CME), helping professionals stay updated with evolving standards in urology. Launched in 2004 by Nature Publishing Group, it quickly became recognized for its authoritative editorial quality and international advisory board. In 2009, the journal was rebranded and continued as Nature Reviews Urology, expanding its scope within the Nature Reviews portfolio while maintaining its focus on clinically relevant urologic science.
