Molecular Plant Pathology is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing research in the field of plant pathology, with a strong emphasis on molecular mechanisms underlying plant–pathogen interactions. The journal publishes high-quality original research articles, reviews, and pathogen profile papers that explore the biology, genetics, biochemistry, and molecular processes involved in plant diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, oomycetes, insects, and parasitic plants. It serves as a key platform for integrating molecular biology with plant disease management and agricultural biotechnology. The journal was established in January 2000 and is published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP). It has gained a strong reputation in the plant sciences community and is indexed in major databases such as Web of Science and Scopus. The journal supports rapid peer review and publication, ensuring timely dissemination of important discoveries in plant–microbe interactions.
