Memoria y Civilización is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Universidad de Navarra in Spain. Founded in 2015, the journal is dedicated to advancing historical research and promoting scholarly dialogue on the history of civilizations from interdisciplinary perspectives. It provides a forum for original research articles, review essays, historiographical studies, and critical book reviews that contribute to understanding the political, social, cultural, religious, economic, and intellectual development of societies across different historical periods. The journal encourages innovative methodologies and comparative approaches that enrich historical awareness and foster discussion among historians and scholars in related disciplines. Although it primarily publishes articles in Spanish, it also accepts contributions in English and French, broadening its international reach. Since 2019, Memoria y Civilización has followed a diamond open-access model, allowing readers free access to all published content without article processing charges (APCs). All submissions undergo a rigorous double-anonymous peer-review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. The journal is indexed in major databases, including Scopus, Web of Science (ESCI), DOAJ, and Latindex, enhancing its visibility and impact within the fields of history and cultural studies.
