Medicina y Laboratorio (ML)

Medicina y Laboratorio is a peer-reviewed scientific and medical journal published in Colombia by Editora Médica Colombiana (EDIMECO) in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Antioquia. The journal serves as a major platform for the dissemination of research, reviews, clinical studies, case reports, and educational articles related to medicine and laboratory sciences. It is directed toward physicians, clinical laboratory professionals, biomedical scientists, researchers, and healthcare practitioners. The journal is an important component of the Certified Continuing Medical Education Program developed through a cooperation agreement between the University of Antioquia and EDIMECO. Through this program, healthcare professionals can enhance their knowledge and receive academic credits based on successful completion of educational assessments associated with journal content. Its scope includes clinical medicine, pathology, laboratory diagnostics, biomedical research, public health, and related disciplines. The journal publishes articles in Spanish and follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and integrity. It is indexed in regional and international databases such as LILACS, Medigraphic Literatura Biomédica, and Periódica, increasing its visibility within the Latin American scientific community.
