Medical Journal of Babylon is an international peer-reviewed medical journal established in 2004 by the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Iraq. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, case reports, and short communications covering a wide range of medical and biomedical sciences. Its scope includes internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, microbiology, pharmacology, infectious diseases, and public health. The journal aims to promote scientific research and clinical advancements in both basic and applied medical sciences. It provides a platform for researchers from Iraq and international communities to share findings that contribute to improved healthcare practices and medical knowledge. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and ethical standards. Published quarterly, the journal is available in open-access format and is indexed in several international databases, including Scopus and DOAJ. It is currently published by Wolters Kluwer – Medknow in collaboration with the University of Babylon, which enhances its global visibility and editorial standards.
