Lentera Hukum is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access law journal published by the Faculty of Law at the University of Jember, Indonesia. Established in 2014, the journal serves as a scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality legal research, particularly focusing on legal developments in Indonesia and other countries of the Global South. The journal encourages comparative, interdisciplinary, and critical legal studies that address contemporary legal challenges and emerging issues in society. The journal publishes original research articles covering constitutional law, international governance, human rights law, environmental law, technology law, legal pluralism, and other branches of legal science. Since 2020, Lentera Hukum has published all articles exclusively in English to expand its international readership and author base. The journal promotes open access to legal scholarship, allowing readers worldwide to freely access, download, and share published content. Through its focus on legal issues affecting developing and post-colonial societies, Lentera Hukum contributes significantly to global legal discourse by highlighting perspectives and experiences from the Global South. The journal is indexed in recognized databases and follows a rigorous double-anonymous peer-review process to maintain academic quality and integrity.
