Kirke og Kultur (KK)
Journal Descriptions
Kirke og Kultur (founded 1894) is an open, independent and long-established journal that focuses on issues and debate on values and publishes articles on religion, culture and society, literature, ethics and philosophy. Debate on issues within aesthetics, ethics, religion, society and politics has an important role. By drawing on landscape and surroundings, rites, environment and gender-analytical perspectives, the editors wish to enable broad orientation and new impulses for the understanding of the development and distinctive features of the society and the culture to which we belong. The journal is published by Universitetsforlaget with economic support from the Arts Council of Norway and the Fritt Ord Foundation, Oslo. Kirke og Kultur is a general-culture journal with a broad circle of readers among those who are culturally interested and socially involved. The journal was in 2008 chosen Journal of the Year. The journal is issued quarterly.
