Norwegian Journal of Working Life Studies (Søkelys på arbeidslivet) is a scholarly journal promoting research on working life in Norway and the Nordic countries. Important topics are working-life related issues, such as employment, wages, working conditions, education, and the relation between work and family life. The journal's emphasis is on empirical studies of both qualitative and quantitative character, but the journal also publishes commentary and debate articles, book reviews, and reviews on working life related topics. The research is aimed at researchers, planners, executives and decision makers in business, management and the labor market. The journal practices Continuous Article Publication (CAP), where an article is published right after acceptance. From 2016, Søkelys på arbeidslivet is published open access. The journal is owned by Institute for Social Research and publisblished by Scandinavian University Press with funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
