Jurnal Sylva Lestari (JSL) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to the advancement of forestry and environmental sciences. Published by the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Lampung, Indonesia, the journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to disseminate original research findings and scholarly reviews related to sustainable forest management and environmental conservation. The journal was originally established in 2019 as Jurnal Hutan Tropika and adopted its current title in 2013. It publishes three issues annually and maintains a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and scientific integrity of published articles. JSL covers a broad range of topics including forest and natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, wood science and timber technology, agroforestry, social forestry, forest products, ecosystem services, and the socioeconomic aspects of natural resources. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary studies that contribute to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. As an open-access journal, all articles are freely available to readers worldwide, promoting the dissemination of knowledge and supporting global collaboration in forestry research. JSL is indexed in several international databases and has gained recognition for its contributions to forestry and environmental science research in tropical regions and beyond.
