The Journal of Writing Research (JoWR) is an international peer reviewed journal publishing scientific research exploring the mental and social processes underlying written production, how writing is learned, and how it can be effectively taught, across all ages and educational contexts. Journal of Writing Research is double-blind peer reviewed with a high rejection rate (above 90%). We are a Web of Science (SSCI) Clarivate Emerging Sources journal, a Scimago Q1 journal in Education and Language and Linguistics, and have top 10% Scopus CiteScore rankings. Journal of Writing Research is diamond open access with no fees for authors or for readers. Journal of Writing Research is international, with a commitment to avoid national or regional bias in our consideration of submitted papers. We are happy to consider papers from a range of research disciplines, including but not restricted to linguistics, psychology, and education, and using any appropriate research method. We publish original research and systematic literature reviews.
