Journal of Systems Chemistry (JSC)

The Journal of Systems Chemistry was an international peer reviewed open access scientific journal dedicated to the emerging interdisciplinary field of systems chemistry. The journal focused on understanding complex chemical systems through interactions, self organization, network behavior, catalysis, molecular evolution, and systems level approaches in chemistry and biology. It published original research articles, reviews, and methodological papers that connected chemistry with systems biology, nanotechnology, synthetic biology, and computational modeling. The journal aimed to bridge traditional chemistry with dynamic and adaptive molecular systems, encouraging studies on chemical networks, supramolecular assemblies, reaction dynamics, and artificial life systems. It served as a platform for scientists investigating how chemical components interact collectively to generate complex behavior and functional organization. Although the journal ceased publication in 2015, all archived articles remain accessible through SpringerOpen archives.
