The Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy (JRSE) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal covering discovery, generation, conversion and end-use of renewable and sustainable energy (RSE) relevant to the physical science and engineering communities. Specifically, JRSE focuses on new insights or creative methodologies that addresses the challenges of renewable and sustainable energy at both the system integration or key component levels. Topics of interest to JRSE include: Solar energy conversion technologies (photovoltaics, concentrating solar thermal power, etc.) Wind energy conversion technologies (on-land/offshore wind farms, rotor/blade aerodynamics, etc.) Energy meteorology and energy climatology Energy storage for RSE Renewable energy resource assessment Distributed energy generation based on or in support of RSE Utility scale power systems associated with RSE Power systems integration or modeling at regional- or micro-grid levels with RSE Power-to-X (hydrogen, synthetic fuel, heat, mobility, etc.) Bioenergy supply, conversion, and utilization Transportation energy in the context of RSE RSE economics and international trade RSE provision, adoption, usage, and policy Building energy efficiency and flexibility Clean energy and decarbonization for industry Marine and hydroelectric energy Other renewable energy technologies The Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy (JRSE) is an online-only journal dedicated to publishing significant advances covering aspects of renewable and sustainable energy relevant to the physical science and engineering communities. As a web-based journal that publishes articles quickly, JRSE is responsive to the many new developments expected in these fields. The journal has a strong focus on integration of disciplines for renewable power technologies at global scales that have the potential to mitigate abrupt climate change. The interdisciplinary approach of the publication ensures that the editors draw from authors worldwide and across a diverse range of active and expanding fields. JRSE is published online bimonthly (6 issues per year).
