Journal of Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics was an international peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the rapidly evolving fields of nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics. Established in 2008, the journal provided a specialized platform for research exploring how genetic variation influences individual responses to dietary factors and how nutrients affect gene expression and metabolic pathways. The journal was endorsed by the International Society of Nutrigenetics/Nutrigenomics and attracted contributions from researchers working at the intersection of nutrition, genetics, genomics, and preventive medicine. The journal published original research articles, reviews, short communications, and society reports covering topics such as gene–nutrient interactions, nutrigenomic mechanisms, epigenetics, metabolomics, personalized nutrition, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer prevention, and systems biology. Its primary objective was to advance understanding of how genetic and environmental factors interact to influence health and disease risk. Published in English by Karger Publishers, the journal gained international recognition and was indexed in major biomedical databases including MEDLINE and PubMed. In 2018, it evolved into Lifestyle Genomics, reflecting a broader focus on interactions between genetics, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and other lifestyle factors affecting health.
