Journal of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology (JMMB)
Journal Descriptions
Journal of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology (JMMB) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes high-quality research at the interface of molecular microbiology and biotechnology. Established in 1999, the journal has served as a platform for scientists investigating the molecular mechanisms of microorganisms and their applications in biotechnology, industry, medicine, and environmental sciences. The journal covers a broad spectrum of topics including microbial genetics, genomics, proteomics, metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, microbial physiology, host–microbe interactions, systems biology, and bioinformatics. It emphasizes both fundamental and applied research, encouraging studies that enhance understanding of microbial processes and their practical utilization in biotechnology. JMMB has attracted contributions from researchers worldwide and has been indexed in major scientific databases including PubMed and MEDLINE. The journal played an important role in promoting interdisciplinary research linking molecular biology with microbial biotechnology. In 2020, the journal was continued under the title Microbial Physiology, reflecting developments in microbial sciences and a broader focus on microbial functional biology.
