Journal of Medical and Dental Sciences (JMDS)

Journal of Medical and Dental Sciences (JMDS) was a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan. Established in 1997 as the successor to the Bulletin of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, it served as an important interdisciplinary platform for the dissemination of research in medicine, dentistry, and biomedical sciences. The journal published original research articles, invited review papers, clinical investigations, and other scholarly contributions covering a broad range of medical and dental disciplines. All submissions underwent rigorous peer review to ensure scientific quality, originality, ethical compliance, and clinical significance. The journal was published in English and primarily featured research conducted by faculty members, researchers, and collaborators of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, while also accepting contributions from external authors under specific editorial policies. JMDS promoted the integration of medical and dental sciences by encouraging interdisciplinary research in clinical medicine, oral health, biomedical engineering, public health, pathology, radiology, neuroscience, and related fields. Following the integration of Tokyo Medical and Dental University into Science Tokyo, the journal concluded publication in September 2024 after more than twenty-seven years of continuous scientific contribution.
