Journal of Institute of Medicine Nepal (JIOM Nepal) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open-access scientific journal published by the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. First published in 1979, it is one of Nepal's longest-running biomedical journals and serves as an important platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health, laboratory sciences, and other health-related disciplines. The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized clinical trials, case reports, editorials, and viewpoint articles that contribute to evidence-based healthcare. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure originality, scientific validity, ethical compliance, and clinical relevance. The journal follows a diamond open-access model, allowing free access to all published content without charging authors submission or publication fees. Published three times annually in English, JIOM Nepal encourages contributions from researchers, clinicians, academicians, and healthcare professionals from Nepal and around the world.
