The Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy (JGPT) is a peer-reviewed journal and leading source of clinically applicable evidence for achieving optimal health, wellness, mobility, and physical function for aging adults, across the continuum of health care settings. This is the only journal dedicated to physical therapists and physical therapy assistants who work with older adults in roles including advocacy, direct patient care, consultation, supervision, education, and research. The Journal\"s mission is to provide quality evidence from the clinical research arena to enhance best practice and optimal outcomes for aging individuals needing rehabilitation and wellness care. JGPT focuses on key areas of interest and professional development for physical therapy professionals working to improve quality of life for older adults, by promoting healthy lifestyle, disease prevention, and return to function through physical therapy intervention. The Journal provides information primarily to physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, physical therapy students, as well as to other health professionals involved in the care of aging adults in a variety of practice and community settings.
