Journal of English Studies (JES) is an international peer reviewed, open access academic journal published by the English Studies Division of the University of La Rioja, Spain. Established in 2011, the journal provides a scholarly platform for the dissemination of original research in all major areas of English Studies. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, and professionals working in English language studies, linguistics, literature, literary criticism, cultural studies, film studies, and related interdisciplinary fields. Articles are evaluated through a rigorous double blind peer review process involving at least two anonymous reviewers, ensuring high academic quality and originality. The journal publishes empirical investigations, theoretical discussions, methodological studies, and innovative research that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in English Studies. Since 2019, the journal has been published exclusively online and follows a diamond open access model, allowing readers worldwide to access all content freely without subscription fees while authors publish without article processing charges. The journal is indexed in several international databases, including Scopus, DOAJ, Latindex, and other recognized indexing services.
