The Journal of Design and Built Environment (JDBE) is an international peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Faculty of Built Environment at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Established in 2015, the journal serves as a multidisciplinary platform for disseminating high-quality research related to architecture, construction, urban development, and the broader built environment. It is indexed in Scopus and other recognized databases, reflecting its growing international visibility and scholarly impact. JDBE publishes original research articles and review papers covering a wide range of topics including urban design and management, sustainable buildings and construction, building performance, construction technology, heritage conservation, facilities management, energy-efficient buildings, indoor environmental quality, landscape architecture, life-cycle assessment, and Building Information Modelling (BIM). The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary challenges in planning, design, construction, and management of the built environment.
