Journal of Dentomaxillofacial Science (JDMFS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia. The journal was established in 2019 as the successor to Dentofasial, which had been published from 2002 to 2015. JDMFS provides an international platform for researchers, clinicians, educators, and postgraduate students to disseminate original scientific findings and clinical innovations in dentistry and oral health sciences. It publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, review articles, case reports, technical notes, and short communications covering all disciplines of dentistry. Major areas of interest include oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine, oral pathology, periodontology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, implant dentistry, preventive dentistry, and oral rehabilitation. The journal emphasizes translational and applied research that advances oral health care and supports evidence-based clinical practice. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and ethical publication standards. JDMFS is indexed in several international databases, including Scopus and DOAJ, and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It continues to promote international collaboration and the dissemination of high-quality dental research worldwide.
