James Baldwin Review (JBR)

James Baldwin Review is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Manchester University Press. Established in 2019, it is the first academic journal devoted exclusively to the life, writings, legacy, and global influence of the American writer and civil rights activist James Baldwin. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for scholars, educators, artists, and cultural critics examining Baldwin's contributions to literature, race relations, politics, sexuality, religion, history, and social justice. The journal publishes original research articles, review essays, interviews, archival studies, book reviews, creative works, and critical reflections.
