Journal Descriptions

Indonesia Law Review (ILREV) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. Established in 2011, the journal aims to promote high-quality legal scholarship and provide a forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to discuss contemporary legal issues at national, regional, and international levels. The journal publishes articles exclusively in English, enabling broader dissemination of Indonesian and comparative legal research to the global academic community. The scope of Indonesia Law Review encompasses a wide range of legal disciplines, including constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, civil law, business and commercial law, environmental law, international law, human rights law, and comparative legal studies. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary approaches that connect legal studies with economics, politics, governance, and social development. Indonesia Law Review follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and research integrity. It is indexed in several international databases, including DOAJ and other scholarly indexing services, increasing the visibility and impact of published research. The journal serves as an important platform for advancing legal knowledge and fostering scholarly dialogue on legal reforms and contemporary challenges affecting Indonesia and the broader international community.
