European Oral Research (EOR) is an international, peer reviewed, open access scientific journal published by the Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. The journal traces its origins to 2019, when it was established as the Journal of Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2018, it was renamed European Oral Research to better reflect its international scope and readership. EOR follows a continuous publication model, enabling the rapid dissemination of accepted manuscripts. The journal publishes high quality original research articles, systematic reviews, meta analyses, invited reviews, and letters to the editor that contribute to the advancement of dental science and clinical practice. Its scope includes oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine, oral pathology, oral radiology, restorative dentistry, periodontology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, biomaterials, oral biology, epidemiology, community dentistry, geriatric dentistry, and dental education. The journal employs a rigorous double anonymous peer review process and adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics. It is indexed in major databases including Scopus, PubMed Central, DOAJ, TR Dizin, and the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), ensuring broad international visibility.
