European Journal of Oral Implantology (EJOI)

The European Journal of Oral Implantology (EJOI) was an international, peer reviewed scientific journal established in 2008 to promote evidence based research and clinical excellence in oral implantology. Published quarterly by Quintessence Publishing, the journal served as the official publication of several leading European implant dentistry organizations, including the British Society of Oral Implantology, the German Association of Oral Implantology, the Italian Society of Oral Surgery and Implantology, the Danish Society for Oral Implantology, and the Spanish Society of Implantology. EJOI published high quality original research articles, systematic reviews, randomized controlled clinical trials, clinical guidelines, case reports, and technical reports focusing on implant dentistry and related disciplines. Its mission was to provide clinicians with reliable scientific evidence for diagnosis, treatment planning, implant placement, bone regeneration, prosthetic rehabilitation, digital workflows, biomaterials, peri implant disease management, and long term implant maintenance. The journal emphasized unbiased clinical research and practical applications that improved patient care and treatment outcomes. Due to its high scientific standards, EJOI achieved indexing in major international databases and earned recognition within the field of dentistry. In 2019, the journal was renamed the International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI) while continuing its commitment to publishing clinically relevant and scientifically rigorous research in implant dentistry.
