The European Journal of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EJAIC) publishes original work of high scientific quality in all areas of anaesthesia, intensive care, perioperative medicine, pain medicine, and critical emergency care. Preference is given to clinical studies and experimental studies with clinical relevance, confirmation studies, and pilot studies. The journal also publishes experimental and technological studies, papers related to education and training, and commissioned narrative reviews. Editorials, commissioned commentaries, and book reviews are also included. The EJA provides a platform for the worldwide dissemination of research in the field of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. The journal focuses on pre-clinical, practical, and clinical aspects of care. Our publication output highlights our value in high levels original scientific research and emphasis on recommendations, guidelines, clinical advice, and basic research.
