Ethiopian Journal of Animal Production (EJAP)
Journal Descriptions
The Ethiopian Journal of Animal Production (EJAP) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Ethiopian Society of Animal Production (ESAP). Established in 2001, the journal serves as a platform for researchers, scientists, and professionals working in the field of livestock and animal science to disseminate their research findings. EJAP publishes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and technical notes that contribute to the advancement of animal production and livestock development. The journal primarily focuses on scientific studies related to livestock production systems, animal breeding and genetics, nutrition, feed resources, veterinary health, and socio-economic aspects of animal agriculture. Although the journal emphasizes research relevant to Ethiopia, it also welcomes contributions from other regions with comparable agricultural and ecological conditions. All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process conducted by subject experts to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific value of the published work. EJAP is published once a year and aims to promote knowledge sharing among researchers, development practitioners, and policymakers involved in livestock production. Through its publications, the journal contributes to improving livestock productivity, sustainable agricultural practices, and food security in Ethiopia and other developing countries.
