Essential Chem (EC)

Essential Chem is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open access journal publishing reproducible multidisciplinary chemistry research. We aim to break down siloed specialisms by bringing together chemists at all career stages to foster better collaboration and information sharing across the greater chemistry community. Accepting research articles, review articles, rapid communications, data notes, article commentaries, comments, and methods, Essential Chem also welcomes negative results and replication studies. We believe dissemination of all chemistry research provides value to the community and therefore accept your research—whether sound science or novel and innovating research. Green and sustainable research is encouraged, as are proposals for themed collections and Letters to the Editor that discuss analysis of articles previously published in Essential Chem. Essential Chem publishes twelve distinct yet multidisciplinary sections: Analytical & Environmental Biological & Medicinal Catalysis & Organometallic Chemical & Process Engineering Electrochemistry Inorganic Materials & Energy Food Organic Physical Polymer Theoretical & Computational Each Section is overseen by a Section Editor and Editorial Board who are experts within the relevant disciplines. It is anticipated that authors may identify multiple suitable sections for their research, however authors will need to select their preferred section upon submission.
