Egyptian Journal of Biotechnology (EJB)
Journal Descriptions
The Egyptian Journal of Biotechnology is a scientific, peer‑reviewed academic journal established in 1997 and published by the Egyptian Society for Biotechnology. It serves as a platform for original research articles, reviews, and short communications in all areas of biotechnology, broadly defined. Its coverage spans molecular biology, genetic engineering, microbial and plant biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, and related interdisciplinary research topics relevant to both basic science and applied biotechnological innovation. Although not indexed by major global abstracting services like MEDLINE, the journal has been used as a source of primary research in Egyptian and international scientific literature and cited in research works in plant science, microbial biotechnology, and molecular genetics. The English‑language publication supports summaries in both English and Arabic in many issues and aims to promote research dissemination from Egyptian and Middle Eastern research communities. Typical articles include studies on genetic diversity, molecular genetics, biosynthesis pathways, enzyme activities, and applied biotechnological techniques pertinent to agricultural, environmental, and industrial biotechnology contexts.
