East African Journal of Statistics (EAJS)
Journal Descriptions
The East African Journal of Statistics was established in the mid‑2000s as a scholarly platform for the dissemination of research in statistical sciences relevant to the East African region. It aimed to publish high‑quality articles addressing both theoretical developments in statistics and practical applications of statistical methods in fields such as survey analysis, sampling design, regression modeling, and probability theory. The journal attracted contributions from academicians, researchers, and professionals with interests in quantitative analysis, statistical computing, and methodological innovation. Although its publication history appears to have been limited (with documented issues from about 2005–2007), the journal served as an important outlet for early‑career and regional researchers to share findings relevant to statistical applications in agricultural studies, public health research, social sciences, and economics. Over its brief run, it offered peer review and editorial oversight, facilitating rigorous academic standards for published work. Because current active records and editorial information are scarce, the journal is considered no longer active, and many archives are available through institutional repositories.
