Diabetologia Kliniczna (DK)
Journal Descriptions
Diabetologia Kliniczna was a peer-reviewed scientific and educational medical journal dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of diabetes mellitus and related metabolic disorders. Established in 2012, the journal became the official publication of the Polish Diabetes Association and served as an important platform for endocrinologists, diabetologists, internists, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in diabetes care. The journal was created through the integration of the scientific traditions of earlier Polish diabetes publications, combining clinical practice with experimental and translational diabetes research. It published original research articles, review papers, clinical guidelines, case reports, conference reports, editorials, letters to the editor, and translations of significant international diabetes studies. Its scope included type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, diabetic complications, insulin therapy, oral antidiabetic medications, obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk factors, and advances in diabetes management. The journal emphasized evidence-based medicine and practical applications that could improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery. The journal was indexed in databases such as Index Copernicus and the Polish Medical Bibliography, contributing to its visibility within the medical community. In 2016, it transitioned to the English-language journal Clinical Diabetology, expanding its international readership and scientific reach.
