Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access academic journal published by the Graduate Program in Environment and Development (PPGMADE) at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. Established in 2000, the journal serves as an interdisciplinary platform for the publication of original research addressing the complex relationships between society, nature, and sustainable development. Its mission is to promote scientific dialogue on socio-environmental issues at local, national, and international levels while encouraging innovative approaches that integrate environmental, social, economic, cultural, and political dimensions of sustainability.
