De Musica Disserenda (DMD)

De Musica Disserenda is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to musicological research and interdisciplinary studies related to music. Established in 2013 by the Institute of Musicology of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU), the journal has become an important platform for the dissemination of research in music history, music theory, cultural history, and related humanities disciplines. The journal publishes original research articles that address both historical and systematic musicology, as well as interdisciplinary studies exploring music in broader cultural, social, and artistic contexts. Particular attention is given to the history of music in the territory of present-day Slovenia within the wider Central European and European framework. Articles are published in several languages, including English, Slovenian, German, Italian, and French, making the journal accessible to an international scholarly audience. All submissions undergo anonymous peer review to ensure high academic standards. The journal is indexed in major databases such as Scopus, RILM, and DOAJ, and follows an open-access publishing model that promotes the global dissemination of musicological scholarship.
