Critical Reviews™ in Biomedical Engineering (CRB) sets the standard for research and review articles of Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Medicine, Biophysics, Medical Physics and Applied Biotechnology. The mission of CRB is to facilitate communication among engineers, academic researchers, and clinicians that will translate into new research opportunities and technology discoveries. The journal highlights the most important and timely developments in broad disciplinary innovative research areas including, but not limited to, the following: bioelectronics and biomechanics, biomaterials, biomedical artificial intelligence, biomedical devices, biomedical imaging, biomedical modeling and computing, cardiovascular engineering, cell/tissue engineering, drug delivery, nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine, neuro engineering, synthetic biology, therapeutic and diagnostic technology, and other emerging topics in biomedical engineering. CRB will include submitted and invited contributions, which will undergo rigorous peer review by two or more independent experts in the field. Collaborative works generated by multiple authors are frequently used to provide in-depth coverage from multiple viewpoints. Most articles contain in-depth appraisals of the current state-of-the-art in a specific area of research or practice and provide complete and up-to-date bibliographies.
