Cornea (Cornea)

Cornea Open is a quarterly Open Access journal which publishes papers related to basic, translational, and clinical research (including case reports) on all aspects of cornea and external diseases that are not specifically related to corneal transplantation and eye banking. The journal welcomes submissions describing well-designed clinical trials, observational studies, and clinical case studies and series that improve best clinical practices in corneal and external ocular infectious and inflammatory diseases, including ocular surface tumors. Basic and translational studies that inform our understanding of these disease entities are also welcome. Well-conducted reviews of important and timely concepts in the field are encouraged, including those that have an educational focus for trainees. Cornea Open adheres to the editorial policies and best practices put forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee on Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), thus maintaining high standards of quality through a rigorous peer-review process.
