Cognitive Linguistics is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published by De Gruyter Mouton and associated with the International Cognitive Linguistics Association. The journal focuses on the relationship between language and cognition, examining how human beings perceive, conceptualize, and communicate meaning through language. It publishes high-quality research articles, theoretical discussions, and empirical studies covering topics such as conceptual metaphor, categorization, linguistic relativity, usage-based models, syntax–semantics interaction, and the cognitive foundations of grammar. The journal also explores how cultural, psychological, and experiential factors influence language structure and use. The journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and is widely indexed in major academic databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. It is recognized as a leading journal in cognitive and functional linguistics, often ranked in Q1–Q2 categories depending on the metric system used.
