Clujul Medical (CM)

Clujul Medical is a long-established Romanian peer-reviewed medical journal founded in 1920 by the Faculty of Medicine of the newly created University of Cluj. It is recognized as one of the oldest biomedical journals in Romania and has played an important role in the development of medical research and academic communication in Eastern Europe. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, case reports, and clinical studies across a broad spectrum of medical and pharmaceutical sciences. Over its history, the journal has undergone several transformations, including temporary suspension during the mid-20th century and later revival in 1957. Initially published in Romanian, it later adopted English as the main publication language to increase international visibility. In 2008, the journal transitioned to an online format and expanded its accessibility, eventually becoming fully open access. In 2019, Clujul Medical was renamed Medicine and Pharmacy Reports, continuing its legacy under a modern international title. The journal is now indexed in major databases such as PubMed Central and serves as an important platform for researchers, clinicians, and academics in medicine and pharmacy. It publishes quarterly and maintains a focus on advancing clinical and biomedical sciences through high-quality peer-reviewed research.
