Ciencia Animal Brasileira is an international, peer reviewed, open access scientific journal published by the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil. The journal was established in 2000 to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge in veterinary medicine, animal science, and related biological sciences. It originated from the division of the former Anais das Escolas de Agronomia e Veterinária da UFG and has grown into an important publication platform for researchers from Brazil and other countries. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, short communications, technical notes, and occasionally case reports. All articles are available free of charge to readers, and the journal follows a diamond open access model with no submission or publication fees. Since 2017, it has adopted a continuous publication system, allowing accepted articles to be published promptly. The journal is indexed in major databases including SciELO, Scopus, CAB Abstracts, AGRIS, and Web of Science ESCI, enhancing its international visibility and impact in the fields of veterinary and animal sciences.
