Blood Advances publishes more peer-reviewed hematology research than any other academic journal worldwide and is an online only, open-access journal of the American Society of Hematology, the world’s largest professional society concerned with the causes and treatment of blood disorders. The journal is continuously published, meaning that new articles are added on a daily basis. With an impact factor of 7.6 (2022), Blood Advances publishes original research, unique digital content including Blood Advances Talks audio reviews, and important community resources such as the ASH Clinical Guidelines. Blood Advances provides an international forum for the publication of original articles describing basic laboratory, translational, and clinical investigations in hematology. The journal covers all aspects of hematology, including disorders of leukocytes, both benign and malignant, erythrocytes, platelets, hemostatic mechanisms, vascular biology, immunology, and hematologic oncology. All articles undergo a rigorous peer-review and are selected on the basis of the originality of the findings, the superior quality of the work described, and the clarity of presentation.
