Biomatter (Biomatter)
Journal Descriptions
Biomatter was an international peer reviewed scientific journal focused on the science and application of biomaterials in medicine and biotechnology. The journal provided a multidisciplinary platform for researchers working in biomedical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and clinical biomaterials research. It published original research articles, reviews, short communications, and technical reports related to the development and evaluation of biomaterials for healthcare applications. The journal emphasized the relationship between biomaterial structure, physicochemical properties, and biological performance. Research topics included implantable medical devices, hydrogels, drug delivery systems, scaffolds for tissue engineering, nanomedicine, biocompatibility, bioactive polymers, and regenerative therapies. Biomatter also addressed clinical and translational applications of biomaterials in orthopedics, cardiovascular medicine, dentistry, and pharmaceutical sciences. Published initially by Landes Bioscience and later associated with Taylor & Francis, the journal gained recognition within the biomedical materials research community and was indexed in several international databases including Scopus and PubMed Central.
