The Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences (AJAS) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original research articles and reviews in the field of animal science. It was established in 1996 by the Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production Societies (AAAP) in South Korea. The journal aims to promote scientific advancement in animal agriculture across the Asian-Australasian region and globally. It covers a wide range of topics including animal breeding, genetics, nutrition, physiology, reproduction, livestock production systems, and animal biotechnology. AJAS initially started with four issues per year, later expanding to monthly publication due to increasing research output and global recognition. The journal has played a significant role in disseminating scientific knowledge and improving livestock productivity and sustainability in developing and developed countries. It is indexed in major databases such as Scopus, SCIE, PubMed Central, DOAJ, and others, reflecting its strong academic reputation. In 2021, the journal was rebranded as Animal Bioscience, continuing its legacy under a new title.
