Archives of Orofacial Sciences (AOS) is an international, peer reviewed, open access scientific journal published by the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Established in 2006, the journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of high quality research related to dentistry, oral health, and the orofacial complex. The journal aims to promote scientific excellence by publishing original research articles, review articles, and case reports that contribute to advances in oral healthcare, dental education, and biomedical sciences. Every manuscript undergoes a rigorous peer review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and ethical integrity. The journal welcomes multidisciplinary research covering both clinical and laboratory investigations relevant to oral and maxillofacial health. Its scope includes oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontology, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral pathology, oral medicine, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, craniofacial biology, dental biomaterials, and innovations in dental technology. AOS also encourages studies in medical and dental education, epidemiology, preventive dentistry, and public health related to oral diseases. As an open access journal, all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide, facilitating the rapid exchange of scientific knowledge and supporting evidence based clinical practice and research in dentistry and related disciplines.
