American Journal of Immunology is a broad based peer reviewed journal that covers the studies of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms. Research / review articles deals with, among other things, the physiological functioning of the immune system in states of both health and disease; malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders (autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency, transplant rejection); the physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vitro, in situ, and in vivo are of prime interest. AJI is a quarterly and OA journal.The journal covers a wide spectrum of topics, including cellular and molecular immunology, clinical immunology, immunogenetics, vaccine development, inflammation, and immunotherapy. It emphasizes studies that provide insights into the mechanisms of immune responses, as well as translational research that bridges laboratory findings with clinical applications. By encouraging interdisciplinary approaches, the journal contributes to advancements in immunological research and innovative treatment strategies.
