Journal Descriptions

Adipocyte is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in the biology, physiology, and pathophysiology of adipose tissue. The journal provides a platform for original research, comprehensive reviews, and short communications that explore all aspects of adipocyte biology, from molecular mechanisms and cellular dynamics to tissue-level processes and systemic interactions. Adipocyte accepts high-profile submissions in basic, translational and clinical research. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and promoting high-quality research, Adipocyte aims to support the scientific community in better understanding the complexities of adipose tissue and its implications for health and disease. The Journal welcomes studies that investigate the development, differentiation, and function of adipocytes, as well as their role in metabolic regulation, inflammation, endocrine signaling, dermatology, and plastic/reconstructive surgery. For manuscripts that deal with bioinformatics and secondary analysis of publicly available data, Adipocyte requires the inclusion of functional studies that address underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms.
