Acta Ophthalmologica Scandinavica was a peer-reviewed international medical journal specializing in ophthalmology and vision science. Introduced under this title in 1995 as a continuation of the long-established Acta Ophthalmologica, the journal served as an important scientific platform for ophthalmologists and vision researchers, particularly within the Nordic and European medical communities. The journal published original research articles, review papers, clinical investigations, experimental studies, and case reports related to all major areas of eye medicine and surgery. Its scope included retinal disorders, glaucoma, cataract surgery, corneal diseases, pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular imaging, and visual physiology.
