Acta Logopaedica (AL)
Journal Descriptions
Acta Logopaedica accepts a wide range of articles of interest to speech therapy. We do not have a criterion for the article to be of a specific type or about a particular speech therapy subfield, but rather the quality of the research is the focus. As a fully digital journal, we can accept articles in different formats and we are happy to accept articles that are on the border between speech therapy and adjacent research areas. Acta Logopaedica is a journal in speech therapy-related areas with the intention of covering both clinical studies on speech therapy diagnoses, e.g. voice disorders, developmental language disorders, dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, dementia, dyslexia, dyscalculia, as well as norm and reference data in relevant areas. The journal contains scientific studies that are based on different theoretical perspectives and include different research methods. The journal accepts articles from different scientific traditions and methodological approaches, for example experimental clinical studies, quantitative studies that contain norm and reference data from non-clinical, typical, populations, interview studies, interaction studies, case studies and intervention studies. The journal also accepts articles that consist of a Swedish translation, adaptation, norming and validation of foreign tests. The articles can also be of different types, for example: • Method articles • Review articles • Research articles • Short reports
