Journal Descriptions
Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae (AEMNP) is a leading international scientific journal devoted to insect systematics, taxonomy, morphology, and phylogenetic research. Established in 1923 by the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic, the journal has become an important platform for entomologists and biodiversity researchers worldwide. It publishes peer reviewed original research articles, catalogues, faunistic studies, methodological papers, and reviews related to insect science and zoological taxonomy. The journal primarily focuses on insect classification, nomenclature, evolutionary relationships, and morphological studies of both adult and immature insect stages. AEMNP also publishes biodiversity catalogues and regional faunistic surveys that support ecological and conservation research. Since 2008, the journal has been issued biannually, with online publication of articles throughout the year followed by printed volumes. The publication is indexed in major international databases including Web of Science, SCOPUS, Zoological Record, Biological Abstracts, and EBSCO. The journal follows international zoological nomenclature standards and all taxonomic acts are registered in ZooBank.
