Acta Chimica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae was a well recognized peer reviewed scientific journal published by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The journal focused mainly on multidisciplinary chemistry and published original research articles, experimental studies, theoretical investigations, and chemical analyses from researchers around the world. It accepted papers in several languages including English, German, French, and Russian, which reflected its international scientific orientation during the mid twentieth century. The journal played an important role in promoting chemical sciences in Eastern and Central Europe and became an established platform for academic communication in analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry. The publication contributed significantly to the dissemination of scientific findings associated with the Hungarian scientific community and international collaborators. The journal was indexed in major scientific databases and maintained continuous publication from 1951 until 1982. Afterward, it continued under a modified title, Acta Chimica Hungarica.
